"QUICK DRAW MAG SHEATH"
KNIFE SHEATH
DESCRIPTION:
Why the name Quick Draw Mag Sheath? Well, you may have
noticed that my knife sheaths do not have a "keeper strap".
I intentionally designed them so that one is not needed due
to the sheath's unique design combined with a precise fit,
my proprietary wet molding process, and 2 hidden "rare
earth" Neodymium magnets (the strongest permanent magnets
on earth). This makes for a fully automatic
sheath.
The hidden magnets (which by the way loses almost no
strength over time) are an integral part of the sheath but
there's nothing inside my sheaths that can scratch your
knife. This sheath is made to last you a lifetime and with
normal use and care you should be able to hand it down to
your children... it's made that well. My sheaths can
actually be held upside down and shaken vigorously and the
knife doesn't fall out yet it still draws well.
Most of the sheaths made here at Rawhide Leather are given
a hand-rubbed waterproof wax finish using Obenauf's Heavy
Duty LP Leather Preservative which allows the leather to
breathe while maintaining a waterproof
finish.
Believe me, you'll appreciate not having to fumble with a
keeper strap behind your back - especially in an emergency
situation where time is of the essence - or worry about
cutting it. Keep in mind that If you forget to use a keeper
strap with a sheath that requires one, or if the strap
isn't properly closed, you could easily lose your knife.
With my design you don't have to worry about any of that -
simply sheath your knife and forget about it until you need
it again. Like a best friend, it will always be there for
you!
